OUR NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, SARVENAZ BAKTHIAR
Lift Our Voices is pleased to announce our new Executive Director, Sarvenaz Bakhtiar, who will start later this month. Sarvenaz will manage our work towards eradicating the laws and business practices that prevent employees from publicly discussing and disclosing toxic workplace conditions.
Sarvenaz joins our team after more than a decade at the Reiss Center on Law and Security and the Center for Cybersecurity at NYU School of Law, where she has served as the Director of Operations and Strategic Development. Additionally, she has led multiple programs including the Women Leaders in Cybersecurity and an Executive Education program, creating student scholarships help law students reach their goals. In addition to her strategic leadership experience and strong network of experts within the higher education and nonprofit world, Sarvenaz brings with her a passion for advocacy that will make her an enormous asset to Lift Our Voices.

BIPARTISAN LEGISLATION TO END FORCED ARBITRATION GOES TO MARK-UP ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 4
As you know, we’ve championed legislation to protect survivors and make workplaces safe. The bipartisan legislation before Congress will go to mark-up on Thursday, November 4 before the Senate Judiciary Committee – a major step before moving to a vote. You can tune into the livestream here to watch the hearing on Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
